Months upon months of spy shots, teasers, renderings and endless speculation have come to their culmination as Alfa Romeo this morning released official images and details of the highly-anticipated new Mi.To. As we previously reported, the Mi.To name – an abbreviation for Milan and Turin (also meaning “myth” or “legend” in Italian as our astute commenter Nick pointed out) – won out for the final nameplate over the internal designation “Junior” and the proposed name “Furiosa”.

Alfa is quick to point out that the Mi.To is the first new model introduced since the 8C Competizione, and the new hatch draws heavily on the supercar’s styling, as you can see from the images in the gallery below. If you tried to morph an 8C with a Fiat 500, you wouldn’t be far off, but the Centro Stile Alfa Romeo appears to have bridged the gap with considerable finesse. Alfa Romeo also confirmed that the Mi.To will initially be offered with a range of four turbocharged fours, with horsepower ranging from 90 to 155, with even stronger engines to follow. The Mi.To’s official presentation will come in June before market introductions begin in July. For more details, scope out the press release after the jump.

Tiring Weekend

Hari ni saya dgn shafeeq shoot wedding Idham and Jiji.. 2 org photographer lagi pun join sebab diorg nak belajar teknik saya.. Sorang tu nama dia Amar and sorang lagi nama dia Fariz.. Jadi, kami berempat shoot lah dgn riangnya pada hari tu.. Sampai la petang.. Lepas shoot, kitorg pegi lepak kopitiam.. Saya pun komen2 la gambar diorg and kitorg share ilmu sama2.. Sempoi gak la result haritu.. Menurut bebudak tu, banyak yg diorg dapat belajar.. Alhamdulillah..

Tengah dok lepak2 tu, dapat sms dr Saiful Nang.. (lupa nak cakap awal2.. SN nak turun tepeng lepak2.. Lama x borak2 dgn dia.. Ni 2nd time dia turun tepeng melepak..) Dia sms tanya pukul brp saya free.. Told him I’ll meet him at 9.. So SN n Intan (wifey) pegi la check in dulu.. Lepas tu saya pun SMs la kawan2 photographer taiping yang lain supaya diorg pun boleh join sekali.. Then saya pun salam2 and chow la dari kopitiam tu.. Singgah rumah mak jap ambil Eva bawak balik.. Mandikan Eva and mandikan diri sendiri and got out of the house just before the clock reached 9..

Took SN to kamunting and we had dinner bersama2 dgn 11 orang jurugambar lain.. Yanty and Hafiz arrived from Jitra just on time to join us malam tu..

Kitorg lepak2 la sampai pukul 12.. Takleh nak lepak lama sangat sebab esok awal pagi ada portraiture session kat lake garden.. Said goodbye to SN, Intan and the group and we headed home.. Sampai je rumah, mcm biasa la.. Sessi upload gambar dari camera ke PC and buat backup.. Sambil2 tu cuci2 la camera and charge battery.. About 4 am baru la kami semua berjumpa dgn bantal..

Malasnyeee

Aduimak aih.. Dah berapa lama blog ni stagnant je nih.. Takde idea pulak nak update ape.. Nak letak gambar wedding macam bosan je sebab kat FP dah penuh dah gambar wedding.. Nak letak gambar sendiri pulak, semua gambar2 dalam PC yanty.. Apo den nak buek.. Hurmmm.. Ok lah.. Few updates of my activities..

14th of March :

Haritu Yanty dgn Hafiz (asst Yanty) ada shoot kat Jitra.. So, tinggal la saya dgn Eva je kat rumah.. Takde buatpe pun.. Sibuk kemas2 rumah, masak, makan, kasik Eva makan and mandi and such.. Bosan pulak bila tinggal berdua je camni (Agaknya Eva pun rasa macam ni gak bila abah and mommy ada assignment outstation.. Malam tu assistant saya (Shafeeq) sampai dari KL.. Fetch dia kat Stn bas and then kitorg pun pegi dinner (hantar Eva kat rumah opah dia dulu). Malam tu brief asst ttg assignment esok yang kami nak kena cover. Kat Taiping je pun wedding tu.. Lebih kurang pukul 3 pagi baru la kami tidur..

The Vacation

Yap.. After few months past the vacation.. Here I am posting some report on the vac.. (with the timestamp edited to 29th of Feb.. muehehe)

Ok.. The plan was to stay at the resort for two nights.. But the whole lodging experience was something really2 bad.. Perhaps we were there at the wrong time.. The rooms were lousy.. The door to the bath was falling apart.. The service were bad.. (We had to carry our luggages from and to our car.. Takde orang tolong pun.. “Excellent” hospitality..)And what disappoints me most was the swimming pool was out of order.. Hey.. At least inform us earlier la before we paid.. Schmucks!!!!

Tapi takpelah.. Since we’ve already paid for “the not so cheap” room.. We better make it worth it lah kan.. So.. We kept ourselves positive and tried to enjoy ourselves.. We spent the noon chillin.. Relax2.. Jalan2 tepi laut.. Later that evening.. We had a dip dekat gigi2 air tu.. Takdela mandi sangat.. Saje je celup2 kaki and rendam2 badan.. Jadi la kan? Kata pegi lauttt.. huhu.. aaaaaaaah.. It was Eva’s first ever experience of the salty water.. We bought her a float earlier.. Most of the time she was “frozen” dalam float tu.. Kejung gilo.. hahaha.. So cute I must tell you.. There’s some photos of her with the float below..

For dinner, kitorg makan food yang dah siap masak kat rumah.. Cut cost sikit.. Lagipun dari Teluk Rubiah ni nak masuk town macam jauh sikit and very the gelap.. (I’ve been here before and we were prepared.. )..

The next day pulak.. Sebelum check out, kitorg pegi main laut lagi sekali.. Tak heavy pun.. Saja2 je.. Its not our intention to swim pun.. Just to escape and clear our head.. So, mandi laut was not our main agenda.. Main sikit2 je..

We checked out and head to Lumut for lunch.. Then my mom and sis bought themselves some souvenirs and we made our way back home..

Along the way, kitorg singgah makan tepi jalan kat Pantai Remis.. Nampak satu gerai ni ada jual “Mee Udang Lipan”.. Amende udang lipan ntah? We made a u-turn and stop for a taste of the shrimp.. Pelik gile siot.. Its not a regular shrimp.. Memang macam lipan.. Kecuali takde kaki banyakand kulit dia macam udang biasa.. Rasa pun lain sikit dari udang biasa..Well.. Its our first and last meal of Udang Lipan ever.. Takmau dah.. Pelik..

Reached Taiping just before dark.. Sent my mom and sis to their home and then kitorg pun balik la rumah sendiri.. Checked our email and layan maispes and such kejap.. Then we had a nice nap the whole evening..

Overall, it was not the best vacation we had.. But its better to have one than nothing rite? Next trip will be Penang pulak.. Better beach, better night life and better food.. Feringghi rulz!!!

Holiday Time!

At last.. After more than a year since our last vacation, we’ll be having one starting from tomorrow..

It is just a short break actually.. Planning to stay at Teluk Rubiah Golf Resort for probably 2 nights with my family.. We didnt actually “Plan” to go.. It just came out form my mom’s mouth and hey! Here we go.. haha..

I havent actually pack or get my gears ready.. But we did some shopping earlier.. Nothing much today.. Spent not more than RM50 today (Woohooo~).. I got myself new pairs of flip flops and yanty bought a float for Eva.. Eva will have her first swimming pool session tomorrow and I will definitely snap some pics of her.. (she had her first swim at a waterfall in Taiping few weeks ago, but too bad that we didnt bring any cameras..)

So, the plan is just to go somewhere and stop “thinking” for a while.. I dont actually know what to bring for this trip.. I really would love to lie down by the beach and enjoy reading my books ( I have a few that I havent done reading yet and it has been more than a year.. Darn!!!). But honestly, these few weeks my head got too cluttered with some personal issues. I dont think I can enjoy myself reading my books.. Perhaps I should just take some time off and go fishing instead.. I googled the resort up and seems that they hve some fishing spots.. (I dont fish.. But I just want to try it out.. :P).

Ok lah.. Nak pergi mamak kejap and lepas tu nak siap packing.. My cameras needs to be charged..

Our assignment in Sabah.

Hello everyone..

Sorry la lambat pulak saya nak update blog ni.. Was busy the whole week.. Families and cousins balik bercuti.. So spent most of my time with them and also kawan2..

Hari ni dah start masuk office balik.. So, no excuse for me not to update this blog..

Okay.. Lepas dah lama x update, I would like to start off dgn cerita kami ke Sabah..

Our journey starts early on the 31st of Jan 08.. At 130am we hit the road heading towards kL.. We are scheduled to take off at 720am so we need to be there by 620am top.. I drove half way and Yanty drove another half.. We headed to Damansara to meet my cousin who afterwards sent us to LCCT sepang.. Sampai sana betul2 pukul 620am.. Tak sempat nak hisap rokok pun.. Terus je boarding..

Punya la sebok ambil gambar, we happend to be the the last person to board the craft.. It had been more than a year since our last flight.. We totally forgot that airasia practices free seating.. When we boarded, there we no seats available for us to seat together.. Patutla masa nak naik tu semua org berebut2 nak cepat.. adeilaaa.. Lesson learned!!

The plane took off at exactly 720am.. No delays.. Respect gained.. hehe..

It was sunrise but it was a pity that the seat we took was opposite the window where the sun rises.. We can just drool at the golden light which came through the opposite window.. Such a huge loss of photography opportunity..

We haven’t had anything consumed for the last 8 hours.. Without hesitation, we bought the in flight meal.. 1901 Hot dog.. Hey! not bad.. Sedap jugak..

Hey! Its the land of Sabah!!! “Louis Pang.. You’re there? Hellooo.. We’re up here..”

I have no idea what mount this is.. But I really hope that this is the great Mount Kinabalu.. It was such a distance away, so I took out my tele lens and shot this.. Can anybody verify whether its Kinabalu or not?

While we were busy shooting the photos above, a lady who seated besides Yanty asked us “Korang photographers ek? Ada fofotpages?”.. Definitely we said yes and introduced ourselves.. Turned out to be that she browses the fotopages everyday and to make it more interesting, she recognizes us.. Hehehe.. A fan met on the plane.. If I am not mistaken, her name was Niza (if you happen to read this blog, please confirm this yek.. Sorry la kalau silap.. :P)..

At 1130am, our craft landed safely and smoothly on the soil of sabah.. I was very excited to get off the plane and breathe the Sabah’s air.. As soon as the “seatbelt” light turned off, I immediately stood up and took out our hand luggages.. I left Yanty behind and get down the craft as quickly as I can.. YEZZAAAA~ Touchdown!!!
I was never this excited before.. More excited than the time I was in Heathrow or LAX.. Honest~

After the 5 seconds celebration (hihihi..), I turned back and waited for Yanty to take the picture of her set foot on Sabah..

After we passed the immigration and collected our luggages, we got out of the Tawau Airport and were greeted by Pak Wan and Mak Wan (Tisya’s uncle and aunt).. They were there to pick us up and to bring us to Lahad Datu.. The ride took us about 2 hours.. We were too tired and burnt out that we slept through the whole journey (Sorry ye Pak Wan & Mak Wan.. It had been more than 24hrs since we slept..) .. I opened my eyes and we were already in Lahad Datu..

At last.. We met the couple for the first time.. Tisya and Hizzol.. It was great to actually meet them in person.. I was introduced to the whole family and they were soo extremely humble and nice.. Ice breaking was easy.. We were instantly attached to them..

After about an hour at their home, Tisya’s parents took us and Hizzol out for lunch.. We had a very nice meal in a small buat super nice restaurant in the heart of Lahad Datu.. Leganya dapat makan something heavy.. Lapar betul.. I took the opportunity to shoot few pics of Lahad Datu..

It had been a long day for us.. We were extremely tired and we couldn’t take it anymore.. Tisya’s parents sent us straight to the hotel and we checked in and settled down.. I jumped on the bed and my eyes shuts instantly and I slept the whole day.. ZzZzZzzzz~

Salam Dari Sabah

Hello peeps..

Yup.. We’re still in Sabah.. Writing this blog in a cyber cafe.. This will be our last nite here in Lahad Datu..

We’ve just got back from having our dinner with Tisya and Hizzol.. We had super great steamboat full of fresh seafood stuff.. For the first time in my life that I’ve eaten a sea cucumber (Gamat seyh!)..

We had a super cool weekend here in Lahad Datu.. Arrived on thursday and met the couple for the first time and also Tisya’s family and relatives.. Everybody is super dooper cool.. We had no problem getting along.. Ice breaking only took us 30 seconds.. Hahaha..

The next 2 days we covered their events.. I will talk more about it when I post their wedding entries later.

Today (Sunday) we were taken to Sandakan.. We went to Sepilok where they had a rehab center for orang utans.. We were right on time as they were feeding the monyet2.. Comel gila tengok orang utan tu.. Was a great experience to be there..

Later, we had our lunch in Sandakan town.. I’ve made a call to a friend (from taiping) who resides in Sandakan and met up at the restaurant.. After we had our lunch, we were then taken to the heart of Sandakan to look for “Tooooooooooot!!!” (Rahsia.. hehe..) but to no avail.. We had back to Lahad Datu by 6 and safely arrived by 9.. Lepak2 kejap then we went out for dinner with Tisya n Zul.. Initially we wanted to have Lobster (I never had lobster before) but then changed our plan and headed for steamboat instead.. It was well worth it!!!

Well.. We will be leaving tomorrow.. I feel sad to leave this great place as I feel that there is soo much more to see and experience.. But I miss my daughter more than anything.. “Abah miss you soo much my dear Eva..”

Abah and mommy will be back home soon~

We’re off to Lahad Datu.

Okay.. It’s almost midnight.. Our flight is only 7 hours away.. But we’re still in Taiping, Perak..

Too many things to settle.. But we’ve got it done at last.. In half an hour’s time, I hope that we can already hit the road..

Nak drive slow² je.. I am too tired and sleepy..Made a deal with Yanty that we will do a “Highway Relay”..

Anyhow, although I am very tired and fatigued, I am pretty much anxious and excited to go to Sabah.. I have been to so many places around the world but I have never ever been to the Borneo.. I hope to experience something new and something very cultural.. If only I have money to spend..

Ok lah.. Enough babbling.. I have to get ready now.. Have to hit the road before I get TOO exhausted..

SABAH!!! Here I come..
